Art of the STITCH

This is the sixth biennial art of the STITCH, and like its predecessors is presented by the Embroiderers’ Guild in association with Coats Craft UK. For its 2006 tour, art of the STITCH is accompanied by SCHOLAR, an exhibition of work from Guild Scholars since 1995 (the year of the first art of the STITCH exhibition). For the exhibition, 453 entries, including ten videos, were considered for selection. From these, 50 entries were chosen, including one video, 34 from the UK, 16 from nine overseas countries, and 25 of whom have not featured in the STITCH exhibition before.
