'Catching the Weeping Moon' Acquired by Holbourn Museum

We are thrilled to announce that Alice Kettle's  monumental textile work, Catching the Weeping Moon (2026), has been officially acquired into the permanent public collection of the Holburne Museum in Bath.

 

Created as part of her acclaimed solo exhibition Balancing Act with Bo Lee Gallery, the piece explores themes of resilience, equilibrium, and the complex lines of human experience.

The acquisition was generously supported by The Hitchin Family and art insurance specialists Hallett Independent. Placing the work within the Holburne’s permanent collection creates a beautiful dialogue between the museum's historic craft archives and its dedication to championing world-class contemporary art.
